Goodwill Engineering, one of seven Western Australian Disability Enterprises played host to Prime Minister Mr Tony Abbott, Premier Mr Colin Barnett and other senior delegates when WA joined the rest of the country agreeing to trial sites for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Mr Abbott announced the federal government would contribute $80 million and the WA government $50 million towards trial sites for disability services covering about 8400 people.

Phil Looms, a visually impaired employee of Goodwill Engineering made himself heard and has asked the prime minister to tell parliament, disabled people are already part of the workforce”.
