Working with Local Government

Since 2014, WADEs have secured more than $3.9 million in contract arrangements with more than 20 local government authorities, enhancing and delivering employment opportunities for people with a disability and mental illness.

The Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations Act 2015 now allows Local Government to create exemptions to open tender for WADEs.

The WA Local Government Association (WALGA) is working closely with WADEs to increase local government supply opportunities for eight WA Disability Enterprises.
